8. Do I need an email signature?
Automatically added email signature
Many clients use a centrally managed email signature system called Exclaimer. This automatically adds your signature to your sent messages after they are sent. In this case you should not add an email signature on your devices as it's done for you. Magic!
How can I check if I have an automatically added email signature?
It's easy to check this by sending a test email message to yourself. Then open your sent items folder and check if the company email signature has been applied to the message.
If it has automatically applied a signature, then you have Exclaimer.
You should then check from your computer and iPhone to remove any signatures added by your devices to avoid signature duplication (see below steps to remove the iPhone default signature).
I don't see an automatically added signature on my sent emails!
This means your company isn't using Exclaimer and you'll need to add an email signature to your devices manually using the steps below.
